Forum: classic_tv Subject: Kyle MacDonnell

She was named "Miss Television of 1948" by Time Magazine, and appeared on the cover of Life magazine, but is completely forgotten today.

Here's the telecasts with her that I know survive:
Hold That Camera - October 20 1950 (formerly held by MacDonald & Associates Film Archive who have since donated their collection to the Library of Congress. LOC doesn't list the things they acquired from MacDonald at the moment...maybe they have other things with her as well?) and 1 December 1950
The Swift Show - 31 March 1949
Cavalcade of Stars - 22 April 1950 (this episode is incomplete. Luckily, the surviving footage includes her)
Ten Years Ago Today - 30 April 1949
Toast of the Town (24 May 1959 episode, there is a 99.99999999999% chance that this exists as a kinescope recording or video tape. Ain't that nice? Curiously enough Fabian also appears in that episode.....FABIAN!!!!)

Here are other TV appearances listed on IMDb. Do they survive today?
For Your Pleasure (hosted this 1948-1949 series)
Girl About Town (hosted this 1948–1949 series)
The Eyes Have It (12 February 1950 episode. Series also known as "Celebrity Time")
The Paul Whiteman's Goodyear Revue (26 March 1950 episode)
Cavalcade of Stars (along with above, she also appeared on the following: 15 April 1950, 8 April 1950, 25 March 1950. These are unlikely to survive because they aired on Du Mont, whose archive....well, I think we all know the story, don't we?)
Ford Star Revue (21 September 1950 episode)
The Little Show (15 March 1951 episode)
Penthouse Party (27 April 1951 episode)
Kraft Television Theatre (episodes "Feathers in a Gale" and "Baby Mine")
ABC Album (episode "Four Stories")

Here's the things with her that are on the fabulous Internet Archive:
